Yesterday I went up to London with a friend to see a talk given by writer Tracy Chevalier, author of Girl With A Pearl Earring (amongst her many other books).
It was a lovely day (even with the tube closures!) and Ms Chevalier was both inspiring and interesting. I came away realising that research doesn’t need to be as scary as i’ve always thought it to be (i’ve always steered clear of writing anything requiring major research because I just thought i’d end up lost down this huge rabbit hole lol).

Unfortunately Ms Chevalier didn’t have any books to sell but was happy to sign copies that people had brought with them…but the two novels of hers i’ve read went off to the charity shop a while ago *sighs*
All in all a great day…thanks Sue…we must do it again…and remember to check the tube closures 🤣
