I’ve been a music lover since I was a child, probably helped by my Grandfather, who would often get up on a Sunday morning, rummage through his record collection and play Nat King Cole, Perry Como or Andy Williams at full blast lol.
Recently, i’ve rediscovered songs from my childhood, songs that my Grandfather played. When Glen Campbell died in 2017 I was reminded of one of those childhood songs, Wichita Lineman, I’m sure that one was on repeat for a while lol.
As an adult, i’ve grown up wth very eclectic tastes, anything from The Beatles to Beyonce…Simple Minds to Sleeping With Sirens. I just love a cracking good song. And if its got a story behind it, even better!
Last night, while the husband was watching football I stuck on my headphones and spent the whole 90 minutes (plus extra time) listening to music and watching videos on You Tube. I should have been emptying the dishwasher, getting the wet laundry out of the machine or tidying my bedroom. But you know what? It was lovely to just sit and listen/watch music, its something I don’t normally do indoors, only in my car lol.
This is one of my favourites at the moment…It’s quite old, but i’ve only just discovered it (thanks to the Heavyweight podcast).
Interesting (and quite sad) video I have to say, but a good song with a story…
