I’ve suffered with insomnia all my life and was prescribed my first lot of sleeping tablets at the age of 14. I’ve just learnt to live with my sleep problems over the years, the constant exhaustion and waking up feeling like I have a hangover (without the fun of the alcohol the night before lol).
But then a few weeks ago I listened to a Podcast by Inspire Nation. Episode 009 is an interview with Dr Carolyn Dean, who talked about the magic of Magnesium. It sounded impressive…unbelievable, but impressive lol.
I did some research, and everything I read seemed to back up Dr Deans claims. Some articles like this one even went as far as saying that I would notice a difference within 24 hours if I upped my Magnesium levels. Ok, well it was worth a try wasn’t it?
I turned to Amazon, and after reading the reviews of this particular brand, placed my order. The following day a large bottle arrived….
I started taking two a day almost immediately, one in the morning, one in the evening. To be honest, I didn’t really notice a difference for the first few days, but then, one morning I suddenly realised that I didn’t feel hungover and that I hadn’t woken up in the night. In fact, I’d slept soundly for seven hours!!!!!! And since then i’ve actually had a couple of nights where i’ve slept for eight hours…crazy! Coincidence? I don’t think so, but if it is the placebo affect i’ll take it lol.
